1. Gastric cancer
(1)Anatomy structure and function of stomach
-Anatomy
The gastrointestinal tract includes the gastrointestinal tract composed of oral cavity,
esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum and anus.
The salivary glands associated with the gastrointestinal tract, liver,
gallbladder, and pancreas secrete digestive juices into the gastrointestinal tract.
The stomach is a round pouch made of muscles. It is located in the left
upper abdomen, and is divided into the lower part, the body part, and the gingiva.
Between the esophagus and stomach there is a sphincter, and between
the stomach and duodenum there is a pyloric sphincter.
The stomach wall is composed of four layers, which consist of mucosal layer,
submucosal layer, muscle layer, and serous layer from the inside where food passes.
Gastric cancer occurs in the mucosal layer, so when stomach endoscopy
is performed regularly, gastric cancer is often found at an early stage.
